And it has had a fabulous run for a firework and laser extravaganza. Disney IllumiNations is the perfect ending to a great day at Epcot in Walt Disney World. The last show will be on September 30th to be followed by a new temporary show called Epcot Forever. If you are heading to Disney World this summer make sure to set aside at least one evening to watch Disney IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot. And for the last 20-years, it has remained relatively unchanged. Tonight is the last night for Epcots IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth - I really enjoyed this show and was happy to. The original IllumiNations show back in 1988 was the first time that Disney used technology that allowed the launching of fireworks to be programmed with music cues. Especially at the end when the Earth Globe opens up and sets up for the big firework finale. The FinaleĮven though IllumiNations is a short show, it does make an impact. Wherever you do pick to watch this amazing show, make sure your view is unobstructed by trees for the best firework viewing. Some of the best viewing areas are on the bridge between the UK and France pavilions, Italy, Between the Norway and Mexico pavilions, World Showcase Plaza, on the outdoor terrace at Tokyo Dining, Mexico Pavilions, La Cantina de San Angel at the Mexico pavilion, Canada pavilion, and the Rose & Crown Dining Room. A good thing to know is if you want a front row viewing, you do have to pick your spot early (sometimes 90-minutes early). There are so many places to watch the show around the Lagoon it might be hard to pick the best. The highlight of the show is the Earth Globe with its spherical video display system that displays the continents by LED screens that change throughout the 14-minute show along with great music. I have had some amazing times with my family watching this show with its message of hope and showcasing the history of our planet. Epcot Illuminations WorldShowCaseIn this video we explore Epcot and it’s changes go on a couple rides and watch the last night of Illuminations together T. weather permitting in the World Showcase Lagoon.
